Bromus scoparius, commonly called broom brome, is a species of flowering plant in the grass family, Poaceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region, Crimea, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Xinjiang (China), and extends to the northwest Indian Subcontinent. It has been introduced to Chile, California, several scattered locations in the eastern United States, and southeast China. It is a somewhat weedy annual plant, and it prefers to grow in grassland habitats.
