Distribution: The species is found in India, E Nepal, Sikkim, S China, Taiwan, Indochina, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, New Guinea, and N Australia (Dressler 1996). Specimens examined include those from Indonesia (Timor Barat): Kupang (10 ° 10 ’ 15 ” S, 123 ° 36 ’ 25 ” E) collected in April 1803 by Brown, R.
