Distribution: The species is found in India, E Nepal, Sikkim, S China, Taiwan, Indochina, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, New Guinea, and N Australia (Dressler 1996). Specimens examined include those from Indonesia (Timor Barat): Kupang (10 ° 10 ’ 15 ” S, 123 ° 36 ’ 25 ” E) collected in April 1803 by Brown, R. (L [L. 2194649] and L [L. 2194658]); Malaka (9 ° 24 ’ 58 ” S, 124 ° 54 ’ 22 ” E) in {S. Belu} on 27 June 1970 by Kooy, C. W. (L [L. 2194655]); South Central Timor (9 ° 47 ’ 48 ” S, 124 ° 27 ’ 38 ” E) on 2 July 1982 by Kooy, C. W. (L [L. 2194663 / 4]); (9 ° 36 ’ 52 ” S, 124 ° 19 ’ 42 ” E) on 2 November 1960 by Sauveur, E. G. (L [L. 2194650]); (9 ° 48 ’ 49 ” S, 124 ° 28 ’ 35 ” E) on 4 June 1982 by Kooy, C. W. (L [L. 2194659 / 60]); Timor (loc. not specified) in January 1882 by Forbes, H. O.
