About Brickellia longifolia S.Watson

Brickellia longifolia, commonly known as the longleaf brickellbush, is a shrub belonging to the plant family Asteraceae. It is native to the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region of the southwestern United States, where it occurs in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and western Colorado. There is ongoing taxonomic disagreement among authors about closely related plants native to the Mojave Desert: some classify these plants as a variety of B. longifolia, while others recognize them as a separate distinct species, B. multiflora. This species grows in moist locations, including areas near seeps and riparian zones. It has been recorded in Southern Utah, with additional occurrences ranging from California to Arizona.
