Brazoria truncata (Benth.) Engelm. & A.Gray, commonly known as the rattlesnake flower, is a plant species belonging to the family Lamiaceae. This species was first formally described in 1834. It is endemic to the U.S. state of Texas, where it occurs in the south-central and eastern regions of the state. Two varieties of Brazoria truncata are currently recognized: Brazoria truncata var. pulcherrima (Lundell) M.W.Turner, which is called Centerville brazos-mint, and Brazoria truncata var. truncata.
