Bowdichia is a genus of flowering plants in the legume family, Fabaceae. It is classified under the subfamily Faboideae. This genus contains two species, both native to tropical South America and Costa Rica. Bowdichia nitida Spruce ex Benth. is native to northern Brazil and northern Bolivia. Bowdichia virgilioides Kunth has a native range spanning from Costa Rica to Bolivia, Paraguay, and southern Brazil.
