About Bondarzewia guaitecasensis (Henn.) J.E.Wright
Bondarzewia guaitecasensis is a species of polypore fungus that belongs to the Russulaceae family, and it is found in South America. This fungus was first published under the name Polyporus guaitecasensis by German mycologist Paul Christoph Hennings in 1900. In 1964, Jorge Eduardo Wright transferred the species to the genus Bondarzewia, giving it its current scientific name. Bondarzewia guaitecasensis is parasitic on Nothofagus tree species.
