About Boletus vermiculosoides A.H.Sm. & Thiers
Boletus vermiculosoides A.H.Sm. & Thiers has tannish caps that measure 5–12 centimetres (2–4+3⁄4 inches) wide. Its stem grows 5–12 cm tall and 1.2–2.5 cm (1⁄2–1 inch) wide. This species can resemble Boletus durhamensis, and their ranges may possibly overlap. It is found growing on the ground under oak trees in eastern North America, from June to September.
