Boiga thackerayi, commonly known as Thackeray's cat snake, is an arboreal, nocturnal rear-fanged snake species. It is most often observed near forest streams, and can reach a maximum length of up to three feet. This species is endemic to the Western Ghats of India. It was first described from the Koyna region of Satara district, located in western Maharashtra, India. Its geographic range extends across mid to high elevations of the Western Ghats across the Indian states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
