About Boiga multomaculata (Boie, 1827)

Boiga multomaculata has the following dorsal coloration and pattern: the dorsal body is gray-brown, marked with two alternating series of round spots that are dark brown, reddish-brown or chestnut-colored, plus two additional series of smaller spots along the lower sides. On the head, there are two blackish bands that diverge towards the posterior end, and a blackish streak that runs from the eye to the corner of the mouth. Ventrally, the body is whitish, marbled or spotted with brown, with a series of brown spots running along each side. Adult individuals of this species can reach a total length of 77 cm (30 inches). This snake occurs across a wide range of locations, including Western Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, India (specifically Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Miao in Changlang district), Southern China including Hong Kong and Hainan, Indonesia (Java, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Borneo), Bangladesh, Laos, Singapore, Bali, and North Central Florida, USA.
