Distribution and Elevation Range

It is endemic to Brazil, Ecuador, and Colombia, and has been observed at elevations ranging from 14 to 1050 meters above sea level.

Adult Size

Adult males of this species measure 38.5 to 51.9 mm in snout-vent length, while adult females measure 53.5 to 72.6 mm in snout-vent length.

Coloration

The skin on the frog's belly (ventrum) is coffee-colored, and the skin on its back (dorsum) is yellow or orange.

Habitat Types

This frog can be found in primary forests, secondary forests, pantanals, artificial open areas, and partially flooded areas.

Disturbance Resilience

Its ability to live in secondary forests and other human-altered habitats indicates it has some resilience to habitat disturbance.

Preferred Microhabitat

It prefers to live alongside fast-moving streams.
