About Blepharis maderaspatensis (L.) B.Heyne ex Roth
Blepharis maderaspatensis is a scrambling, suffrutescent perennial herb. Its stems can reach up to 2.5 meters in height. At each node, it grows four whorled, hairy, elliptic leaves that measure 2–9(–12.5) cm long and 0.8–3.5(–5) cm wide. It produces axillary spike inflorescences, with clustered white flowers that are half an inch long. This species is native to continental Africa, Arabia, and tropical Asia, including the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Hainan, China.
