Bidens mitis (Michx.) Sherff, commonly known as smallfruit beggarticks, is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It is a North American species native to the eastern, southeastern, and south-central regions of the United States, ranging from eastern Texas to southern New Jersey. Bidens mitis is an annual, or occasionally perennial, herb that can grow up to 100 cm (40 inches) tall. It produces numerous yellow flower heads that contain both disc florets and ray florets. This species grows in marshes and along the borders of estuaries.
