About Bicolorana bicolor (Philippi, 1830)
Bicolorana bicolor is a species of bush cricket that belongs to the subfamily Tettigoniinae and the tribe Platycleidini. This species is found in mainland Western Europe. Most individuals of Bicolorana bicolor are normally brachypterous, meaning they have short wings, but long-winged forms of the species can sometimes be encountered. Bicolorana bicolor was originally described by RA Philippi in 1830, under the original name "Locusta bicolor".
