About Begonia longifolia Blume

Begonia longifolia Blume is a flowering plant species belonging to the Begoniaceae family. This species is native to the eastern Himalayas, southern China, Hainan, Taiwan, mainland Southeast Asia, and some islands of Indonesia. It is an erect perennial herb that can grow up to 1.5 meters (5 feet) tall. It usually grows in shady, moist forests, at elevations ranging from 200 to 2,200 meters (700 to 7,200 feet). It is the most widespread Begonia species in Asia, and likely the most widespread in the world.
