About Beckmannia syzigachne (Steud.) Fernald

Beckmannia syzigachne, commonly called American sloughgrass or slough grass, is an annual or short-lived perennial bunchgrass belonging to the grass family Poaceae. It grows in shallow marshes and sloughs, and is widespread across much of Europe, Asia, and North America. It is one of just two species that make up the genus Beckmannia; the other species in the genus is Beckmannia eruciformis.
