This moth species, Bastilla absentimacula (Guenée, 1852), has a wingspan of approximately 50 to 60 millimeters. It is a pale red-brown moth. Its forewings have a broad greyish medial band, marked by a straight dark line along its inner edge and a sinuous line along its outer edge. A slightly oblique, sinuous postmedial line is also present on the forewings, alongside two separate series of marginal specks: one series of pale specks and one series of dark specks. Its hindwings are pale fuscous, with a broad, diffused submarginal line that is noticeably wider at the apex. The larvae of Bastilla absentimacula feed on plants of the genus Phyllanthus.
