Baccharis glomeruliflora Pers., commonly called silverling, is a shrub species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to the coastal plain of the southeastern United States, ranging from Mississippi to North Carolina. This species is a shrub that can reach up to 300 cm (10 feet) in height. It bears thick, leathery evergreen leaves with large teeth, and its flower heads grow clustered together in the axils of the leaves. It grows in wet habitats including swamps, hammocks, and riverbanks.
