Baccharis genistelloides (Lam.) Pers. is a perennial flowering plant species in the Asteraceae family. It is one of the most studied species in the genus Baccharis for its phytochemistry and pharmacological effects. This plant is widely used in folk medicine, where it is traditionally used to treat high blood pressure, diabetes, stomachaches, and kidney infections. It contains flavonoids that may have anti-inflammatory effects. Like nearly all species in the genus Baccharis, B. genistelloides is dioecious, meaning its flowers are unisexual. It can be found across much of South America, including Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
