Babiana cuneata is a species of geophytic, perennial flowering plant that belongs to the family Iridaceae. It grows within the fynbos ecoregion, and is endemic to South Africa's Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces. Its distribution ranges from the Bokkeveld Mountains to the interior of the Koue Bokkeveld, extending as far as Karoopoort. It also occurs eastwards to the Roggeveld Mountains escarpment, and southwards to the foot of the Witteberg near Laingsburg.
