Azenia obtusa, commonly known as the obtuse yellow moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Gottlieb August Wilhelm Herrich-Schäffer in 1854. It is distributed in North America, ranging from southern Ontario and New York south to Florida, and west to Texas and Missouri. The wingspan of adult Azenia obtusa measures 18 to 25 mm. Adult moths are active on wing from June to August each year. The larvae of this species feed on Ambrosia trifida.
