Axiocerses amanga, commonly known as the bush scarlet, is a butterfly species that belongs to the Lycaenidae family. This species is found in Sub-Saharan Africa. Males of the species have a wingspan ranging from 24 to 28 mm, while females have a wingspan ranging from 25 to 30 mm. In South Africa, adult Axiocerses amanga are active and on the wing throughout the entire year. The larvae of Axiocerses amanga feed on Acacia species, Ximenia americana, and Ximenia afra. Axiocerses amanga larvae are associated with the ant species Camponotus niveosetosus.
