Autographa excelsa is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. This species can be found in the Baltic region, southern Finland, the Tatra Mountains, northern European Russia, Siberia, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan. It has a wingspan that measures 38 to 42 mm. Adult moths are active in flight from the end of July through August. The larvae of Autographa excelsa feed on plants from the Urtica genus.
