Augosoma centaurus, commonly known as the centaurus beetle, is a species of rhinoceros beetle. It is native to tropical Africa, and adult individuals reach an overall length between 40 mm and 90 mm. Like many other insect species, males of this species grow larger than females. When competing for access to a female for mating, two males will typically fight one another.
