Atriplex suberecta I.Verd. is an annual herb with sprawling, scaly stems that grow 20 to 60 centimeters long. Its thin, toothed leaves are oval to diamond-shaped and reach up to 3 centimeters in length. Male and female flowers of this species are generally borne in axillary clusters. This species occurs as an introduced and invasive species on multiple continents outside its native range, including southern Africa and parts of North America. It is sometimes classified as a noxious weed.
