Atriplex paludosa R.Br. grows as an erect shrub that reaches up to one metre (3 ft 3 in) in height. Its oval-shaped leaves measure 1โ€“4 centimetres (0.4โ€“1.6 in) long and 2โ€“15 millimetres (0.079โ€“0.59 in) wide. This species is distributed across southwestern Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, and coastal Tasmania.
