Astragalus sinicus L. is a milkvetch species belonging to the legume family Fabaceae. Its common names include Chinese milkvetch (sometimes written as milk-vetch), renge, and genge. It is widely used in farming as a green manure. This species should not be confused with Astragalus mongholicus, the plant that produces Radix Astragali, a raw material used in traditional Chinese medicine.
