About Astragalus oxyphysus A.Gray
Astragalus oxyphysus A.Gray is a robust perennial herb that grows in clumps of erect, leafy stems reaching up to 80 centimeters in height. Its leaves can grow up to 17 centimeters long, and are composed of many lance-shaped leaflets. This plant produces large inflorescences, each holding up to 65 individual flowers. Each flower is cream-colored and measures at least 2 centimeters long. The fruit is a hanging legume pod that can reach up to 4 centimeters in length. The pod is inflated but narrow, and when it dries it develops a thin, almost transparent papery texture.
