About Astragalus flavus Nutt.
Astragalus flavus Nutt., commonly called yellow milkvetch, is a perennial plant species belonging to the legume family, Fabaceae. It is native to the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region of the southwestern United States. It is a halophyte that grows in saline soils, found within salt desert shrub communities at elevations ranging from approximately 3,800 to 5,400 feet, which is 1,200 to 1,600 meters.
