About Asterolasia correifolia (A.Juss.) Benth.
Asterolasia correifolia (A.Juss.) Benth. is an erect shrub that typically grows to a height of 2 to 2.5 meters (6 feet 7 inches to 8 feet 2 inches). Its stems are covered with woolly, white to brown, star-shaped hairs. The leaves are lance-shaped to egg-shaped or elliptical, measuring 20 to 120 millimeters (0.79 to 4.72 inches) long and 11 to 45 millimeters (0.43 to 1.77 inches) wide, and grow from a petiole 5 to 11 millimeters (0.20 to 0.43 inches) long. The lower surface of the leaves is covered with white and pigmented star-shaped hairs. Flowers are arranged in umbels of four to ten or more, located in leaf axils, and each flower sits on a pedicel 7 to 20 millimeters (0.28 to 0.79 inches) long. The petals are white to cream-coloured or yellow, mostly 5.5 to 7.5 millimeters (0.22 to 0.30 inches) long, and are densely covered with coarse star-shaped hairs on their back surface.
This species grows in wet forests within moist gullies. It occurs in Carnarvon National Park in Queensland, and on the North and Central Coasts, and Central and Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
