About Asplenium marinum L.

Asplenium marinum L. is a fern commonly called sea spleenwort, named for its preference for maritime habitats. This fern grows around the coasts of Europe, ranging from Italy in the south to Norway in the north. Its southernmost distribution reaches the northern islands of Tunisia, the Galitte islands. Linnaeus was the first to formally describe this species, publishing the binomial name Asplenium marinum in his 1753 work Species Plantarum.
