About Aspidotis californica (Nutt. ex Hook.) Nutt. ex Copel.

Aspidotis californica produces thin leaves that are dissected into numerous triangular leaflets. These leaflets are further divided into small segments that have curled teeth. Sori containing sporangia form on the leaf segments, and the edges of the leaves roll under to form a false indusium that covers the sori.
