About Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco Schltdl.
Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco Schltdl. is an evergreen tree with sclerophyllous foliage. In the Humid Chaco region, it grows to a height of 20 to 30 meters, while it only reaches 8 to 12 meters tall in the Dry Chaco. This species typically inhabits dry deciduous forests and grows on clay soils. It is most commonly found in the Gran Chaco, Humid Chaco, Argentine Espinal, and Bolivian montane dry forests ecoregions across Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil. Its native range also extends into several adjacent ecoregions: the Uruguayan savanna, Paraná flooded savanna, Southern Cone Mesopotamian savanna, Southern Andean Yungas, Cerrado, Pantanal, Central Andean puna, Chiquitano dry forests, and Beni savanna.
