This species flowers from September to November, and produces fruit from October to November. Its wood is dark pink, with a specific gravity of 0.7 g/cm³, and is easy to work with. In Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil, this wood is used for construction, furniture making, carpentry, and flooring.
