About Asota orbona van Vollenhoven, 1863
Asota orbona is a moth in the family Erebidae. It was first described by Samuel Constantinus Snellen van Vollenhoven in 1863. This species is found in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Queensland. Its wings are yellowish with brown shading. It has four spots on the forewing, as well as black dots on the thorax and at the bases of the forewing. Its wingspan measures approximately 50 mm. The larvae of Asota orbona feed on Ficus species.
