About Artemisia verlotiorum Lamotte
Artemisia verlotiorum, also known as Chinese Mugwort, has oblong capitula that range in color from reddish to brown. Its stems are green, and its leaves are broader, lighter in color, and grow more densely along the stem. This species has a stronger, more pleasant aroma compared to Artemisia vulgaris (common mugwort). It flowers very late in the summer, and reproduces mainly through stolons, which leads it to form thick clustered groups. It shares the same habitat as Artemisia vulgaris, and both species are very common. Artemisia verlotiorum is closely related to Artemisia vulgaris and is often confused with it.
