Arnoglossum ovatum, commonly known as ovateleaf cacalia or broadleaf Indian-plantain, is a plant species that belongs to the sunflower family. This species is native to the southeastern and south-central United States, with its range extending from southern North Carolina to Florida and eastern Texas. It is a large plant that can grow up to 300 cm (120 inches, or 10 feet) in height. It produces small but numerous flower heads, which are usually white or pale green, and occasionally a slight purple tint. Arnoglossum ovatum grows in habitats including sandy woods, savannahs, and roadsides.
