About Arnica unalaschcensis Less.

Arnica unalaschcensis Less., commonly called Alaskan arnica, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. This plant is native to regions on both sides of the Bering Strait, specifically Alaska, the Pacific coast of Russia, and northern Japan. It grows in habitats that include coastal tundra and alpine slopes. Two recognized varieties of this species are Arnica unalaschcensis var. unalaschcensis and Arnica unalaschcensis var. tschonoskyi (Iljin) Kitam. & H.Hara.
