About Argyronome laodice (Pallas, 1771)

Argyronome laodice (Pallas, 1771), also referenced as laodice Pall. (= cethosia Hbn.) (70a), has a bright leather-yellow base color. Females bear small white spots just before the apex of the forewing. The central and distal regions of the wings feature very regular rows of round black dots. The underside of the wings has no silver markings. On the hindwing, a row of elongated white spots with an oily sheen divides the yellow proximal area, which itself has a greenish gloss, from the distal area, which is dusted with pinkish violet.
