About Arctostaphylos pajaroensis (J.E.Adams ex Mc Minn) J.E.Adams

Arctostaphylos pajaroensis is an erect shrub. It grows to at least 1 metre (3.3 ft) tall, and is known to reach over 4 metres (13 ft) in height. It has shreddy red or grayish bark; its smaller twigs are covered in woolly hairs and long white bristles. Its dense foliage consists of gray-green leaves with a reddish tint, which may have smooth, toothed, or rolled edges. The leaves are oval to somewhat triangular in shape, measuring 2 to 4 centimeters long. This shrub flowers in winter, producing large, loose inflorescences of pink to nearly white urn-shaped flowers. Its fruit is a drupe approximately 7 millimeters wide.
