About Arctostaphylos myrtifolia Parry

Arctostaphylos myrtifolia Parry is a shrub with red bark and a bristly texture. It reaches a maximum height of just over one meter. Its small, bright green leaves are covered in tiny glandular hairs; they are shiny but rough in texture, and grow less than 2 centimeters long. The inflorescence is a raceme of the characteristic urn-shaped manzanita flowers, borne on bright red branches. The fruit is a cylindrical drupe that is only a few millimeters long.
