About Arctia tigrina Villers, 1789
Arctia tigrina is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. Its distribution covers the Iberian Peninsula, as well as southern France and southern Italy. The larvae of this moth feed on a range of different plant species, including species from the genera Syringa, Euphorbia, and Genista. Following phylogenetic research published by Rönkä and colleagues in 2016, this species, alongside other species originally placed in the genus Atlantarctia, was reclassified and moved to the genus Arctia.
