About Arctia dejeani

Arctia dejeani is a species of moth belonging to the family Erebidae. It was first formally described by Jean Baptiste Godart in 1822. This moth is found on the Iberian Peninsula. It has a wingspan measuring 41 to 42 millimeters. The larvae of Arctia dejeani feed on plant species from the genera Taraxacum and Plantago. As a result of phylogenetic research published by Rönkä et al. in 2016, this species, along with all other species originally placed in the genus Hyphoraia, was moved to the genus Arctia.
