Archips rileyana (Grote, 1868), commonly known as the southern ugly-nest caterpillar moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. It is native to North America, with confirmed recorded populations in the U.S. states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. The wingspan of adult individuals ranges from 19 to 26 millimeters. Adult moths have been documented in flight during the month of March, and again between the months of May and July. The larval caterpillars of this species feed on plants from multiple genera, including Aesculus, Carya, Cornus, Juglans, Prunus, Symphoricarpos, and Vernonia. Documented Aesculus host species include Aesculus californica and Aesculus pavia.
