Arachnura melanura Simon, 1867 is a species of spider in the family Araneidae. It is commonly known by multiple common names: scorpion tailed orb-weaver, black tail spider, and drag tail spider. The geographic range of this species extends from India through Japan to Sulawesi. This spider camouflages itself by mimicking fallen flowers, dead leaves, and twigs. It replaces the capture spiral of its web on a daily basis.
