About Aplectoides condita Guenée, 1852

Aplectoides condita is a species of moth belonging to the family Noctuidae. Its range extends across central and southern Canada, from Newfoundland to British Columbia. In eastern North America, it reaches as far south as northern New Jersey and northern Pennsylvania, and extends west to Michigan and Wisconsin. It is also found along the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia and North Carolina, and has recently been recorded from Tennessee. In western North America, it occurs in Idaho and Oregon. This moth has a wingspan of approximately 33 mm. Adults are active in flight from May through July. Larvae have been successfully reared on two host plants: Abies balsamea and Larix laricina, and they show a preference for Larix laricina.
