Aphonopelma johnnycashi Hamilton, 2016 is a species of tarantula that belongs to the family Theraphosidae. This species was first discovered in 2015 near Folsom Prison, California. It is named after the country music singer Johnny Cash, who famously performed the well-known song "Folsom Prison Blues" that brought widespread fame to Folsom Prison. Mature males of this species are typically black in color, matching Johnny Cash's well-known nickname "The Man in Black".
