Apantesis carlotta, commonly known as Carlotta's tiger moth, is a species of moth in the family Erebidae. Douglas C. Ferguson first formally described this species in 1985. This moth is found in the United States, ranging from Maine to Georgia in the east, and extending west as far as North Dakota and Texas. The adult wingspan of Apantesis carlotta measures approximately 30 millimeters (1.2 inches). Larvae of this species have been successfully reared on plants belonging to the Lactuca genus.
