About Anoplognathus brunnipennis (Gyllenhal, 1817)

This species is commonly known as the golden-brown Christmas beetle. True to its common name, Anoplognathus brunnipennis is yellow or biscuit-brown in color, with a green or gold-red sheen. Its abdomen and thorax are green, and covered with white hairs. Adult males measure between 19 and 23 millimetres in length, while adult females measure between 21 and 26 millimetres in length.
