This species is endemic to Colombia, and is specifically found in central northwestern Colombia, within the department of Antioquia.
Natural Habitat and Altitude Range
Its preferred natural habitat is forest, at altitudes ranging from 1,300 to 2,900 meters (4,300 to 9,500 feet).
Occurrence in Modified Habitats
It has also been observed living in disturbed areas, including city parks and forest edges.
Reproductive Mode
Anolis mariarum is oviparous, meaning it reproduces by laying eggs.
