Lectotype (designated by Van Wyk & Tilney in Jarvis et al., Taxon 55: 209, 2006): Herb. Linn. No. 335.28, two central leaves (excluding an upper inflorescence and a lower right leaf), stored at LINN. Epitype (designated by Van Wyk & Tilney in Jarvis et al., Taxon 55: 209, 2006): Collected from Robinson Pass, Cape Province, South Africa, specimen Allison 50. The holotype is at PRE, with isotypes at JRAU, K, and NBG.
